A modern rustic house

A project by the architect Anna Noguera -  of a house in Girona, Spain.

An amazing restoration project where whatever piece of the old house is maintained, it is kept rustic,real.  While whatever is new is

 modern and minimalistic. The combination of cement and wooden floors gives character but doesn't take away from other architectural elements.

A wall to connect the inside to the outside

It's incredible the effect of this red brick wall connecting the house to the outdoor. It seems like they have boxed out a piece of garden to create a dining room. The floors are also matched which adds to this idea of indoor/outdoor space. 

I think the contemporary bay window is absolutely beautiful and yet so traditional. This is a great project by Platform 5 architects.

Old barn - Total make over

Here is a great project by Maxwan Architects

It is an old barn on a beautiful site on the river Linge in the city of Geldermalsen.

I love the large piece of furniture that also serves as kitchen, storage, stairs and library all at once.
